Who: Daichi, Iwaizumi, Saeko, Kuromochi, any other boxers?
When: Night after the opening ceremonies
Where: at the olympic village bar
What: A bunch of super pumped boxers get together to talk about the upcoming events, tips and tricks about fighting other countries, and general rowdiness.
Rating: PG13 on the account of drinking and surely swearing
Daichi's been excited for this moment ever since he received his formal confirmation he would be competing in the tournament. He spent every day training his ass off to make sure that he could really win this thing.
But now that he's here? That this is real? Daichi is practically vibrating with anticipation. He's never been a part of anything this big, and he might only get the chance for it one, maybe two more times depending on whether or not he gets any broken bones. It's wild.
The best part is that he gets to meet everyone. People from back home, people from across Japan, all who are in this event with him. He knows a few of them - old friends and people from nearby, and the others are new faces, or ones he's only seen in passing on fight nights.
None of it matters now, not when they've got a back few booths all to themselves, cold pints and warm company. Definitely the best place to be.
